I just love the giant glittery gold heart that mom and I found on 100 Layer Cake. I think it would look pretty fab at our reception. The DIY instructions seemed totally doable so I decided to give it a shot. I didn’t want to share what I was working on in case I was out of my crafting league, but I’m about halfway done, and I think this one might turn out great!
Yesterday, I cut the giant heart out of cardboard and made it 3-d with newspaper and masking tape. This morning, I covered it in paper mâché so that it would be solid. Tomorrow, Sneezy and I will be making it glamtastic. The gold paint, gold glitter, gold sequins and gold confetti are all lined up and ready to go.
Hopefully, one week from today (ONE WEEK!!) my glittery gold heart will be shining at the most beautiful wedding reception ever.
